Lower KS2 have been working hard this week in Science and Literacy, learning all about friction and then planning and carrying out a fair test to investigate it …

We chose 3 different materials and lined our ramps with these to create different surfaces. The surface was our independent variable.

Class 5’s Science Ambassadors helped to make sure the test was fair by keeping all other variables the same. These were our control variables.

Children worked in groups, using their teamwork and communication skills to carry out the fair test.
