We have been learning about igloos as part of our winter themed topic.
The word ‘Igloo’ comes from the Inuit word for ‘house’ or ‘shelter’. Traditionally, they were built on hunting trips as a temporary house to protect them from the cold.
We made igloos out of papier-mâché. It was really slimy, but lots of fun. We have been waiting patiently for it to dry and will be painting it to look like snow.
