In class 2 we have been learning about 2-D shapes and their properties. We used a task from NRICH to challenge the children to think about how triangles join along the edge. We started with 3 triangles and progressed onto 6 seeing each time what shapes we could form and how many edges they have. We also looked at an online challenge which helped us determine the names of irregular shapes.
