Y6’s expedition to Robin Hoods Bay

Today, our Year 6 pupils visited the picturesque Robin Hoods Bay. We had a fantastic day learning about the history of the town, sketching the headland, exploring rock pools and visiting the fossil museum.

This was a great opportunity for us fully immerse ourselves in our learning linked to our class novel, ‘Kensuke’s Kingdom’, where we used our empathy skills and our five senses to envision what it would be like to be the main character, Michael, on the beach.

We enjoyed lunch in the sunshine and had the pleasure of having an ice cream on the beach!

Take a look at some of the photos from our fun-filled day…
