Cherry Tree residents enjoy their Jubilee Afternoon Tea thanks to the commendable efforts of Roughwood children and staff

As the start of four days of festivities honouring the Queen commence, the residents at Cherry Trees care home enjoy an afternoon tea.

As the country come together to mark such an emotional and memorable start to the bank holiday and watch the traditional carriage procession leaving Buckingham Palace ahead of Trooping the Colour, we take a moment to think of people in our community who cherish memories of the past.

The children at Roughwood enjoyed an afternoon tea before the half term holiday and wanted the residents of our local care home to also celebrate the fun. Due to restrictions, we were not able to enter the care home, but we enjoyed singing songs and waving our flags with the residents.

Thank you to all the staff at RPS and Cherry Trees for making this possible.

Watch this space for future events and please let us know if you can help or donate anything to support our next celebration event.
