Across the academy, some of our Year 6s represented Willow Tree on a challenging mathematic residential over two days with two other schools across our academy.
We have returned from Crowden having solved a range of deeper learning mathematical problem solving questions, aswell as reasoning and maths conundrums at Crowden within the outdoors. The children have utilised their team-building and resilience to achieve great success.
Children have taken part in challenges which included mathematical archery, scaling using perimeter, conversion of measurement, team-building resilience, measurement, orienteering… plus many more deeper learning and mathematical challenges.
We are incredibly impressed with their resilience, and we want to show you what skills and achievements these children have accomplished. These activities and challenges were not for the faint hearted!
Well done to all children who took part.
See the next post to follow.
