Year 5 begins ‘hot seating’ as we are introduced to the characters in the book…

As Year 5 begin their new topic learning about the Elizabethans and Tudors, we begin studying our new class text ‘Treason’ (by Berlie Doherty).

The children carefully created questions to find out more about the main character, William Montague, in our new book.

At the beginning of the book, we discover that the main character (William) tragically loses his brother in a fatal accident at sea.

We worked as groups to prepare and pose questions to the main character and as we learnt about the loss of his brother and the relationship between him and his bother Matthew, class 7 and 8 fully immersed themselves into characterisation.
