This week in Class 9, we have learnt about the heroic act of a young woman named Grace Darling in 1838. On one stormy night, a young woman looked out of the window of her family’s lighthouse to see a terrible shipwreck and people desperately clinging to the rocks. She rowed out in treachery conditions to save those poor souls and was subsequently recognised as a heroine. Class 9 have enjoyed learning about this historical event and are looking forward to seeing the place this happened next week at residential.
