Over the last few days, Class 4 have been working with their partner to create a Victorian inspired monopoly game which they will be playing once finished.
They initially researched prices of popular/essential items during the victorian times such as soap, bread, milk etc. This is where they learnt all about the change in currency and the fact pennies, shillings and crowns were used in star of just pounds and pence.
They then decided to put that into modern money so that they could design their own monopoly themed game.
So far they have identified values, came up with a “buying price” and a “fine” for landing on that square.
They can’t wait to use money and their maths skills to play against each other shortly!
