Year 4 have been learning all about teeth in Science, finding out about the different teeth we have and thinking how we keep them clean and healthy.

This afternoon, Class 6 set up their own investigation to find out which liquids cause the most damage to our teeth (tooth decay).

The children chose the liquids themselves yesterday, and Mrs Graham boiled some eggs to be covered in each liquid ā¦

ā¦you might wonder, why eggs?! Each egg shell represents the enamel on our teeth because an egg shell protects the egg inside, like our enamel protects the inside of our teeth!

So, if any of these liquids cause damage to the egg shell, they could be causing some damage to our teeth if we have them too often!

Which do you think will cause the most damage?
Weāll let you know when we find out on Thursday!

Well done, Class 6!
