Geography in Year 4

What a wonderful afternoon we’ve had in Year 4 today, using atlases to map out the spread of the plague, from London all the way to Eyam!

This is going to help us with our news report writing in Literacy this week – now we know how far away Eyam is from London (3 hours 20 minutes in a modern car by motorway, days and days by horse and carriage!) we can imagine how shocking it must have been for the villagers of Eyam to find that George Viccars had contracted the disease …

Fantastic teamwork, Year 4!
