Y3S began looking at capacity and volume in maths today. We had also been doing lots of discussion in PHSE/P4C about what makes people unique and how people are different.

To merge these subjects Miss Sare asked them to make a “diversity potion” they were each given a recipe containing specific measurements and millilitres. They had to work as a team to complete their potion.

To extend and make it even more tricky, Miss Sare challenged some children to calculate the total volume and then check they had measured correctly by pouring it out in yet another jug to measure its combined actual volume.
