Today Class 4 have been learning how to count, order and recognise in tenths. The children in school decided to wrap up warm and use the outdoor environment to make a number line showing all the tenths in 1 whole. The children used rocks, stone and sticks to represent each tenth so that they could see pictorially ten value of each fraction.

It was fantastic to see children showing team work skills and challenging themselves. Lots of children were taking it in turns to find rocks for the numerator and denominator!

The children loved it and didn’t want the lesson to end!
