Place value chart creations in Class 8!

Our current Maths unit in Class 8 is decimals. One of the first things to learn about decimals is the place value which is the position of a digit in a number. It determines the value that the number holds.

I asked Class 8 to create their own place value charts and represent a number that had at least 2 decimal points. The children used resources from around the house to represent their partitioned number. Take a look at some of their marvellous creations…
