Times Tables Rock Star

This week we have had an amazing 74 Families engage with our Tea, Toast and Tables mornings which have seen parents and children playing tables games to raise awareness of the importance of times tables. Thank you to everyone who has engaged with this week and we hope that parents and children continue to be enthusiastic about their tables.

Times tables are an important part of maths and are used in many areas of the subject. Children who know their times’ tables fluently are more likely to reach the expected standard at the end of KS2. The Government say that children should be fluent in their times’ tables up to 12 by the end of Year 4 and a new test will assess how well children are doing.
