We had a wonderful time celebrating diversity week in foundation. We started the week by looking at families and how they can be different. We drew a family tree to illustrate the people that are important to us. We then tasted different foods from around the world including croissants from France, pizza from Italy, Nachos from Mexico and poppadoms from India. After tasting the food we made a tally of which was our favourite and compared the numbers on the tally chart. Finally we talked about disabilities and how people over come them. We watch a video about Tom Yendell, he is an artist that has no arms. He uses his mouth and feet to paint pictures. We decided to have a go ourselves it was very hard! We continued this theme during PE and enjoyed playing ball games with our eyes closed.
