Today Class 5 used the computers to research the names and prices of different Victorian toys. We then discussed the value of money and just how much it has changed since that period! We looked at what coins and currency the Victorians would have used to pay for these items. We found out that a Victorian dolls house would have been £1. 4s and 6d. Which doesn’t sound much until it worked out that the value was £100 in today’s money!

We have created our very own table showing Victorian toys and their prices and as part of our maths learning will be constructing a bar chart to show our findings.
