In Chestnuts, we have been thinking about our feelings. Our question this week is:
What are feelings? And how do we know what feeling it is?
We discussed how to articulate what we are feeling as well as why we might be feeling that way.
We read the book Lucy’s Blue Day. We talked about all of Lucy’s different emotions and why she may have felt that way. We came to the conclusion that is it OK to sometimes feel sad, jealous or angry as long as we talk about how and why we feel this way and allow others to help us.
We thought about different ways we could reduce our anger and one of the things we decided was that we could concentrate on breathing. We tried an exercise called rainbow breaths. After this we laid quietly and thought about our own feelings.
