We have all been immersed in some incredible learning about air, earth, fire and water, today as well as consolidating information we found out about the steelworks for our topic. The interactive activities meant that we could explore many different scientific concepts such as forces, friction and the elements, in an extremely hands-on way. ‘The Big Melt’ was such an interesting part of the day, as this showed us exactly what the old steelworks used to be like. We imagined how the workers must have felt and what their daily work might have been like.
