This week in Acorns, we have been reading Aaaarrgghh! Spider! We have taken part in lots of spider themed activities.

We have made spiders using clay, counted spiders in the sand and matched them to the correct numerals and sang and acted out incy wincy spider using spiders and drainpipes in the water tray.

We have also been looking at shapes. We have enjoyed sorting shapes into baskets and searching for different shapes in the environment, both at school and at home. Thank you to everyone who has taken part!

Next week we are continuing to look at spiders and our focus text is “The Very Busy Spider.”
