P4C – The Noisy Paintbox by Class 5

We listened to the story ‘The Noisy Paintbox’Noisy Paintbox – Scanned and had a reflection time to understand what we have read/listened to.

We then worked in pairs to come up with our own questions to answer – some of these included;

Did he become famous at art?

What do you think he will paint next?

How did the paintbox make him paint better?

How did he feel when he was painting his picture?

Why did he like painting?

How can the paintbox sing/make noise?

How old is the paintbox?

How long can the music last?

 

As a whole class we voted for three questions we liked the best to try and answer. These were;

How can the paintbox sing/make noise?

Mckenzie – I believe it could be magic.

Henley – I think that it is haunted and its the ghost that is making the music.

Aliyah – I think that when he is painting the music is in his head and it his own songs in his head.

 

How old is the paintbox?

Matthew – I believe the paintbox is extremely old.

Isla – I think the paintbox is over 100 years old.

Leyla – I think it is a thousand years old because it is passed down to him as a child from his auntie.

 

How long can the music last?

Ameera – I think that it can last for how ever long you need it to last.

Evie – The music will last for how ever long he is using the paintbox and the paint brush.
