As part of our transition learning, the children in Class 9 have been busy designing and building survival shelters. This is inspired by our reading of Kensuke’s Kingdom. Before building, we created a Rubric for our shelters so that we could measure how effective the shelters will be. The criteria included: that it must be made using natural materials, it should withstand adverse weather and it could have a unique design and structure. After 48 hours, we will use the Rubric to identify which model was the most effective! Here are some of the finished products!
