Out an About!

Many of our pupils in Year 5 and 6 are recovering from their recent residential visits. Year 6 spent four nights in Northumberland and had visits to Bamburgh Castle, Lindisfarne and a really exciting boat trip out to the Farne Isles to look at the seal colonies and to see the Longstone Lighthouse from where Grace Darling set off on her historic rescue mission.

Pupils in year 5 had a three night residential visit to the fabulous Habershon House in Filey. We spent time looking in the rock pools on the Brigg, studying the gravestone inscriptions at St. Oswald’s church and attacking the castle in Scarborough armed only with pencils!

Everyone who went on a residential visit had a fabulous time – but we’re glad to be back home.
